Could you please help me figure out how to corectly code for the Synvisc injections? My Physician thinks she billed 20610 with the J3490 and the E&M code with modifier 25? I am not at all certain and need some confirmation please.:eek:[/COLOR]
 
If the documentation supports an office visit, you could bill for the appropriate level with modifier 25. For subsequent, planned, injections...I would only bill for 20610 and the medication. If you're doing the Synvisc series, I would look at J7322. Synvisc-One is currently being billed as J3490.

Word of caution...check with your carriers on their clinical guidelines. Some carriers are more stringent than others.
