Can a -22 modifier be used for an assist at surgery, or is only the primary surgeon allowed to add this?
 
Hi! I was about to post the same question and came across your thread. Just wondering if you ever received an answer or found any clarification on this.
 
Yes. The Assistant Surgeon or Surgical Assist claim should generally match the primary surgeon's claim with regards to modifiers.
The ordering of the modifiers on the claim form is anyone's best guess, but it should work out to be the same.
