Good Morning,

If a provider performs a delivery, and then treats the patient for a post-partum psychiatric condition, should the provider be allowed separate reimbursement using the 24 modifier, or should the visit be coded as a post-op follow up?

It should be billed with the diagnosis of the issue with a 24 and have chart well documented for this condition with issueing of any rx.
