I have a patient that had a lap colecystectmoy and was discharged two days later (did not charge for those days) but the day he was discharged he came back because of weakness and was re-admitted to the hospital. So he is still in his global but now he has been in the hospital for almost 2 1/2 weeks. Some days the doctor is stating because of his surgery and the fact that he is on dialysis is the reason for weakness some days it's just because of the dialysis. Unsure if I should be coding all of those subsequent days with 24 mods. Can anyone help??
