Has anyone had any luck billing for hammer toe repair 28285 and also billing for tenotomies but on separate toes using modifier 59 and T modifier. We have still been getting denials.
 
Depends on how it was coded and documentation. Was it definitely a percutaneous tenotomy? Is it being coded correctly? Where was the hammertoe done vs where was the tenotomy? What diagnoses are being attached to each? Is the correct T mod being appended? Etc Etc. Would need more info and specifics. What is the denial reason? Is it every single one? What is the reason for the tenotomy?
