My provider wants to bill 29580 x's 2 units for upper and lower extremities with 50 modifier. Is 29580 the appropriate code for upper extremities?
 
You may want to check with your carrier to see if they allow it, but I can tell you that our Medicare carrier does not. The LCD for Florida Medicare allows Unna boot coding in dermatology only for venous insufficiency or ulcers of the lower extremities.
