I have physicans doing 3 hour GTT, in the past they have been billing 82951 x1, 82952 x2, 82962 x6, 81002 x6, 83525 x 6 and 36415 x 6. A urine test, an insulin test, and a blood draw to obtain the sample for the tests are all done at the beginning of the test, at 30 minutes, at 1 hour, at 90 minutes, at 2 hours and then at three hours. The results at each interval are used to determine the patient total glucose tolerance. During these same intervals a finger stick is done to obtain the patient?s immediate blood glucose level to monitor the patient during the test to make sure it is okay to continue testing. From what I am seeing, is the 81002 and 36415 are included in the 82951/82951...is that correct?

Any help is appreciated!!
Thanks
Amy
