34900 code description reads endovascular repair of iliac artery using ilio-iliac tube endoprosthesis. Can someone define 'ilio-iliac tube' for me please?! I have an endovascular repair of a ruptured iliac artery aneurysm (at iliac anastomosis of old AAA aortobi-iliac artery repair), using an iliac stent. Does this stent = an ilio-iliac tube?

Thanks,
Carol Wright, CPC

As per my understanding and description in CPT book the Stent should be coded seprately and hence the ilio-iliac tube is endoprosthesis not a stent.
