Hello Everyone,

I have billed 37211 and 93451 26. I have received a denial on 37211 for a modifier. The physician only used one access site for 37211, but placed two catheters. Any suggestion on what modifier to use for this ?

Can you post the report? You have an arterial lysis code combined with an RHC code. Is this a pulmonary artery lysis?
Thanks,
Jim Pawloski, CIRCC

Yes, I believe it is pulmonary artery lysis with the RHC. This is the first one my doctor has performed so any helpful information would be great.

Okay, Thanks. So, would the 37211 need any modifiers if the physician used the same access site, but placed EKOS catheters in into the right and left pulmonary arteries ?
