Hello - provider submitted 37609 & 13132. 37609 states layered closure is included. A modifier is allowed to unbundle (if 13132 is appropriate) but I think that is if the closure is in a different area. Is that correct?
Procedure note:
A curvilinear 4 cm incision was made. Blunt and sharp dissection commenced. The artery was identified. A 3 cm segment was suture ligated and sent for pathology. Limited amount of bipolar cautery was used for hemostasis. The 4 cm wound was closed in 3 layers with 4-0 Vicryl deep sutures 4-0 Vicryl deep dermal sutures and 5-0 fast gut horizontal mattress suture for skin.
