Can any one shed some light on this. My provider wants to code 42810 for a surgery, but I am having trouble agreeing with him. His note states as follows.

HISTORY: This is a young girl with a right preauricular skin tag scheduled for excision.

DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE: The patient was taken to the operating room, placed in supine
position and general anesthesia was induced. Attention was paid towards the right preauricular remnant.
The area was cleaned with alcohol and infiltrated with 1 cc of 1% lidocaine with epinephrine 1:100,000
parts. The patient was prepped and draped in a sterile fashion and a 15 blade scalpel was used to create a
vertically oriented elliptical incision around the preauricular remnant. There was no deep extension. The
skin was closed with 4-0 Monocryl suture. The patient tolerated the procedure well, left the operating
room in satisfactory condition.
My thought was to code in the integumentary section more specifically the closure code in the 120XX

I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance,
