Hi,
My question is are we able to use diagnoses code 438.89. Because in the icd9 code book it states that we have to use an additional code.

But in the code manager (E-code)

Review the IDC-9 coding conventions. The additional code should be used unless the information is not available. If the information is not available, 438.89 can be used alone.
