45330-Place of service?

Hoping that someone can help me out with this question! We have been billing flex sigs done in our endoscopy center for years, as place of service office(11) if no biopsy is taken. Also, we do not charge out for anesthesia(if given), because of place of service. So question is, are we charging the flex sigs with no biopsy correctly? Also, what about anesthesia?

The place of service of a procedure is not determined by whether or not a biopsy is taken, if it was done at an ASC that is the place of service. Sedation is not included in the payment for a flex sig, if there is a reason to justify the use of MAC then it would be a separately billable service.
