I am new to Urology coding and am having to learn surgery coding............My question is a 57425 was performed in January and pt. came into the office on 2-14-23 & 52310 (stent removal) was performed in the office. Wouldn't this be bundled to the procedure done in January? I'm not sure where to research this..............TIA

Stents are usually placed with the expectation that it will be removed within a short time. It is considered a "staged" procedure and is billable with a 58 modifier during the global period.

Yes, a staged procedure would be billable with -58.
I'll just note - I recently started working with some urogyns, but I can't recall ever seeing a stent put in with a laparoscopic colpopexy. I would want to double check that.
