Hello everyone,

My physician was assisting another physician during outpatient Hospital Essure Procedure which was done as OUTptn hosp procedure. I've billed 58565-80 with v25.2. CLaim denied for "this procedure code does not allow for an assistant Srg." Can anyone please confirm that this is in fact true.

According to the OB-GYN 2012 coding companion an assist for the Essure proceedure is not allowed.
