Our physicians have started doing salpingectomies for sterilization instead of fulguration of fallopian tubes. Is it correct coding to use the 58670 for tubal ligation or should we start using 58661 removal of adnexal structures? Concerned about our State payers that 58661 does not flag for a consent form. Any suggestions?
