Hi everyone,
Our doctor has started doing procedure code 61020 (Ventricular puncture through previous burr hole) which is a new procedure performed in our office. The insurance companies deny this service because of the place of service; has anyone else had this problem? I can't find documentation stating that this procedure has to be performed in the hospital. I appreciate any advise anyone can give me.
