Provider and I are not agreeing with this one, looking for some information/documentation. He did a lumbar laminectomy w/removal of lipomatosis. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would code only for the 63267. It seems to me to be the appropriate code. Your operative note contains the facts about the extensive amount of fatty material. The report also indicates the surgeon removed the fat. However, I am not a certified coder. I have only been coding the spine for past 17 years. If it were my surgeon I would use 63267.
