Doctor performs a toe amputation - Mode of anesthesia is MAC. Anesthesia time 1400-1535. Doctor wants to bill for ankle block (64450) carve out time 1412-1415. Is the ankle block billable?
 
Ankle Block

The ankle block can only be billed if it is for post-op pain control; otherwise, it's considered built into the procedure. If it's for post-op pain control, it's billed as 338.18 - 64450-59.
