Can 65436 and 65779 be billed together on the ASC and the PA side, when I put both codes in mc ncci edit checker, it says no cci edits but when I google the question it tells me no you should not bill together, what is your experience with these codes?
 
hello, I am not an expert. I do code some easy to moderate cases in Opth. I checked and confirmed that there is no bundling issue and it's a not a separate procedure. so i would bill them together. sorry, i am not aware of any denials on this set of codes. Maybe the issue is in dx or there is Another procedure to code where 65779 membrane is placed.

thank you, our asc has done minor procedures on the cornea in the past but now we have a corneal specialist and she is doing procedures we are not familiar with and the hospital she was affiliated with did all her coding so she wasn't sure either if they could be billed together. again thank you for your help.
