Hi I have a question, If a doctor is teaching an optometrist and they perform this procedure, how would this get billed, the chart note is from both the ophthalmologist and the optometrist. should it be 66761 with modifier 54 - indicating that we are just billing for the surgical care? Does one have to be the rendering and the other referring? If someone can explain this or tell me where I can get the information, it would be real helpful.
