What is the appropriate clinical sceanario to bill 76815 and 76816 on the same day?

Thank you.

The only thing coming to my mind would be if the patient is seen say in the morning for the first time and 76815 is done. Later in the day something happens (car wreck, fluid starts leaking, etc.) and she comes back in. They then do 76816.

I currently have a perinatologist and these 2 codes have not been done on the same day that I have ever seen so this is just a guess on my part.
