It's my understanding that 82270 is the code for screening & 82272 is the code for diagnostic.

Can a screening be done with only 1 sample collected by the provider in the office?

If no, can you bill 82270 if provider gets 1 sample in the office & sends 2 cards home with patient? Or does 3 cards have to be sent home with the patient & all 3 cards brought back & tested?
