When a patient comes in for vaccines with their physical and they get multiple vaccines, using the 90460,90461 eg TDaP,HepA,IPV how would you use the 90460,90461? Would you enter 90460 three seperate times or once with 2 units. and same for the 90461?

billing 90460 and 90461

the 90460 would have 3 units attached to it and the 90461 would have 2 units. So here is how that would look..

V04.0 DX1
V06.1 DX2
V05.3 DX3

90460 1 2 3 (3 units)
90461 2 (2 units)

The V06.1 Tdap has 3 components to it so it has to be split between the two codes. The others are only single component vaccines. Hope that helps.
