So here's the scenario...A PCP reports a 92227 on a patient of theirs. There is something on the pathology that this PCP would like my ophthalmologist to review, so the images are sent to him. 2 separate practices/tax id#'s. How do we bill for this...? There is no tc/26 split for 92227.

Please help. Sorry to be so vague this is all the info I have.

I'm thinking the PCP should have used 92228 so your doctor could bill for the I&R since there's some sort of suspected pathology.
