I have a rejection stating that 92960 is global to primary procedure. I have read that 92960 does not need a modifier. When I run them through codify they all pass CCI edits? What am I doing wrong? TIA

Hi,

You are correct.

92960 doesnot need any modifier when coded with TEE codes.

Did you check if any other major surgical procedure ( with 90 day global) was performed prior to this CV/TEE? If so you can try appending modifier 79 - Unrelated Procedure or Service by the Same Physician or Other Qualified Health Care Professional During the Postoperative Period.
