93264 is the remote monitoring code for CardioMEMS (pulmonary artery sensor) 30 day monitoring period. CardioMEMs monitoring is physiologic data. There is currently an NCCI edit in place that prevents reporting code 93264 on the same date of service as the codes for rhythm remote monitoring of ICD or PM, 93294, 93295 and 93296.
Since the physiologic data is monitored every 30 days and rhythm data is monitored every 90 days, does this only mean the codes may not be reported on the same DOS? May monitoring codes be reported for each type of monitoring as long as they are on separate dates of service, even if the 30 and 90 day periods cross?
