We have recently started billing anesthesia in house & some of our anesthesiologists are licensed to read TEEs. I am getting conflicting information if they can bill for the anesthesia & the TEE read. There were no other procedures performed on this date, just the TEE itself. Does anybody have information or resources on whether they can bill for the read & the anesthesia?
