We are just beginning to get audit errors back stating that 93452 can be billed any time it's performed with a coronary intervention. This is contrary to everything our IR Cardio coders have been taught. Our IR team has many years of experience between us and it has always been our understanding that pressures are routinely recorded during and/or post-coronary interventions unless there is a change in clinical condition prior to or during the PLANNED intervention and is not separately reportable. We are appealing the audit findings. Has anyone else had this issue?
