hi all,

am always getting denial from most of the insurance for cpt 94760 when billed with office visit codes.

can i go ahead and adjust it off as inclusive, or it is separately payable?

Thanks,
Veeramani.

In my experience, most payers don't pay for pulse ox separately. They include it in the office visit. It's considered part of the vitals. We generally adjust it off.

Hope this helps

We do the same thing, we write it off. However, if the reason for the patient visit has to do with respiratory, and we can justify it, then we will bill it and support it with the office notes.

pulse oximetry - 94760

According to the Sept'2015 issue from AAPC it is separately billable - or did I misunderstand the article ?
Has anyone else tried and got denials ?
