I code for dermatology. Using 1995 guidelines, can organ systems and body areas be combined in the exam?
 
1995 guidelines

Problem Focused Exam: limited exam of affected body area or organ system.

EPF Exam: Limited exam of affected body area or organ system, AND other symptomatic or related organ system(s).

Detailed Exam: Extended exam of affected body area or organ system AND other symptomatic or related organ system(s).

Comprehensive exam: General multi-system exam (8 or more organ systems) -or- complete exam of single organ system
