I am billing charges for a Orthopedic hospital based clinic place of service is 22, is it within compliance to bill the 96372 Therapeutic, prophylactic, or diagnostic injection, subcutaneous or intramuscular on both a UB and 1500?? The doctor is the one giving the injection.
 
Yes, based on your description, the charge (code) would appear on both billing forms. The reimbursement rates are different for facility and non-facility settings. Within the hospital-based clinics, the facility is due its portion of the reimbursement (for overhead, supplies, etc).
