Wiki 97001 twice on same day

Good Morning All,

I have a Physical therapist that saw a patient twice on the same day for a neck injury and then for low back pain.

She did two evaluations and tx plans BUT can 97001 be billed twice on the same day?? :confused:

Thanks in advance and appreciate any help and links to info for PT coding...
 
While this was done for two different injuries/dx, if you are billing the same insurance....can't do it. This is not a time driven code and is usually only allowable once a day. Check with the patient's carrier.
