Hi All, Does anyone no the correct code to bill for INFRARED THERAPY. I have a facility that is currently providing this service but thought they could not bill for it. I do know that 97026 is a billable code, however I dont know how many units are allowed. The patients are receiving at least an hour of the INFRARED THERAPY, I could not find any information on the CMS website for unites allowed, only rates which are very low.

Also, are there specific DX codes that have to be used along with this code? And do most major payers allow this code for reimbursement ?

Any help is appreciated.
