does 97124 need mod GP if performed by an LMT? Somehow, I think it does not. Help.

Yes, it does, IF the payer requires Medicare modifiers on PT codes.

The definition according to CMS is:

GP	Service delivered personally by a physical therapist or under an outpatient physical therapy plan of care

Is your service by an LMT either of those? Does the payer you are billing even cover LMTs?
A payer might require it in a policy they have created, you would have to check who you are billing it to.
