97155 is frequently used in my clinic to bill for the time spent educating RBTs (the "supervision" time required by the BACB certification board.) The current description of the code does allow for this, but we are running into a serious issue where the billing provider (BCBA) is using it for *only* the purpose of getting in their supervisory hours with the RBTs, and not making changes and adjustments to the patient's protocol. Their clinical notes do not justify the use of the 97155 code - in my opinion - but I'm told that Colorado Medicaid does allow for this and that their requirements are more lax. I'm hoping someone with some Colorado Medicaid experience can educate me on the requirements for this code; Tricare has a very clearly defined list of what has to take place in order to justify the use of 97155, and I am having difficulty finding such information in HCPFS Billing Manuals.
