There have been a few posts about this, but I was hoping someone could give me an updated review of how payors are treating this charge. I have gotten some information that Oxford does not cover it at all. We are about to make the investment to start them in our office and I want to be sure the reimbursements are in line with the fee schedule research I've already done.

It's been hit and miss in our office. Tricare, United Health Care, Regal medical group, and most of the smaller Blue Cross plans (ex. Union Food Workers) will not cover them. We just let the parents know up front and give them the option of a cash price (which most surprisingly agree to do). The payers that are covering it are paying around $20-$25.
