Hello All,

I work at a student health center and we see many new patient-students at our facility. When a nurse appointment is needed and it's their first time being seen can a RN bill a 99201 for the services?

No, nurse services are only billable when the ordered by a physician or NPP as part of their plan of care. So, it would not be billable unless the physician or NPP has first seen and evaluated the patient in which case the patient would be established.
