Is there a time when it is ever appropriate to charge a 99211 at an Infusion center (hospital based)? If we get the order for an infusion (chemo, drugs, blood transfusions ect...) and the order states that the nurse must evaluate some lab values before administration...and/or call the physicain for further instructions about the treatment...could we charge 99211?:rolleyes:
