My provider asked how to code an E/M visit for "painful lump on shoulder" which turned out to be an epidermoid cyst that she did an I&D only to discover it was an epidermoid cyst 1.0 cm that she was able to remove. Two questions, 1. Can she code the 10061, and cyst removal together? 2. Should the cyst removal be a 11401? Thank you in advance for any advice.
