visit to discuss behavior problem, not referred by another physician. Provider coded consult, finding Medicare not approving consults? This should be an E/M office visit code instead, correct?
 
Medicare has not accepted Consults since 1/1/2010, however you would then want to crosswalk the visit to the next appropriate visit. Depending on the E/M components (History, Exam and MDM), and using the New vs. Established guidelines you can assign either 9920x or 9921x to the visit.
