Is prolonged service allowed with 99245 - 55 minutes. Provider documented 90 minutes. I'm getting conflicting info.

Yes, that would be 99245 and 99417 x 2.

Check the date on any information you find about coding E/M services. The new guidelines for consults (and all other level-based codes except office/other outpatient visits) went into effect Jan. 1, 2023. Anything older than that will not apply to services performed this year.
