Is this a valid CPT code and if it was did it expire?
 
99246 was never a valid CPT code.

99242-99245 is the range for office/outpatient consultations, 99241 used to be part of the range but it was deleted a few years ago. There isn't another code range after 99245 until you get to 99252-99255 for inpatient/observation consultations, 99251 used to be part of the range but it was also deleted a few years ago.
