Help, please. Anyone know whether it is 30 or 60 minutes minimum must be spent (such as in extensive record review) to bill Prolonged Service without direct patient contact--99358? Thanks
 
30 min. is the minimum. Look on page 33 of your CPT manual the guideline says '' Code 99358 is used to report the first hour of prolonged service on a given date regardless of the place of service. It should be used only once per date. Prolonged service of less than 30 min. total duration on a given date is not separately reported.
