Can some one help. Please! Does Medicare cover Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasound to confirm the extent of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm in a patient who is already showing symptoms.

I am not talking about the Screening for "Welcome to Medicare" patients. But regular medicare patients.
 
I do not know of any LCD's for U/S Abdomen for AAA. Since the pt. has been dx w/ a AAA the pt will be followed to access size and / or enlargment. If the pt is symptomatic I would certainly think they would cover it but check with Medicare for your state to verify coverage and if they may require a CT.
