I'm fairly new to Cardiology and very confused about how to code this procedure. The physician did an Abdominal Aortoram. Would 36200 and 75625 be correct? TIA.

Hi! I think I would select 36221 for this study. Although the header states "Abdominal Angiography" the imaging described in the report is actually not abdominal, it is of the thoracic aorta and the brachiocephalic origin off of the aortic arch. 36221 includes non-selective catheter placement in the aorta and imaging of the aortic arch and great vessel origins (which includes the brachiocephalic artery).

I hope this helps :)
