I need some ICD10 help with coding abdominal pain. The patient has pain across her mid abdomen and left upper quadrant. For ICD9 I have coded this 789.09 - Abdominal pain, other specified sites (multiple sites). Now for ICD10, would I code both locations, R10.12 Left upper quadrant pain, and R10.13 Epigastric pain? There is no code that I see that would include multiple sites, unless I use R10.84 Generalized abdominal pain. I am really not sure.
