One of the provider want to issue ABN to new Medicare Patient (85 years old)
of 99205 or G0438.
The reason, 85 yeas old new patient who's medical history is gigantic, and always existing medical problem. If patient requested G0438 for the purpose
of the visit; however, if Doc.finds the serious condition which needed immediate treatment at the same time Doc. need to spend high level E/M.
Medicare will deny either of them obviously. So they want to issue ABN
to cover the cost......is this acceptable with Medicare ABN regulation??
