Hello!

I am in my apprentice status, and just a week into a coding role with an OB/GYN office, and am just seeking some guidance to ensure I am using the right train of thought.

Our OB office, I have noticed, will sometimes perform acupuncture on a patient during her routine OB followup visit - either to combat discomfort or nausea. But they are not booking the visit as a procedure, they are booking it under the global OB visits.

Am I correct to assume that the acupuncture service would need to be on it's own claim, as it's not part of the OB Global Followup Visits that are not billed out?

Thanks in advance! : )
