HEY,

I KNOW ADD ON CODES ARE -51 EXEMPT, DOES THAT ALSO MEAN THEY ARE EXEMPT FROM MULT PROCEDURE PAYMENT GUIDLELINES. IN OTHER WORDS SHOULD A DOCTOR BE PAID AT 100% ON BOTH THE PROMARY PROCEDURE AND THE ADD ON CODE? :o
 
Add-On codes are already valued as secondary procedures and are exempt from the multiple surgery rule. As a precaution though, I periodically check those codes to ensure that the carriers aren't reducing them.
